Is it going to be an epic winter here in the U.S. & Canada?
If you put 1,000 meteorologists in a room and asked for a forecast, guess what you’d get? Yup…1,000 different forecasts and 1,000 different reasons why they’d be right! Just about everyone has their favorite method for predicting the winter – number of acorns, woolley worm
coloring, analog years, oceanic climate cycles, solar cycles, etc. It’s kind of like that Holiday Inn Express commercial…”Are you a meteorologist?…No, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night…” 😉
So is going to be an epic winter here in the U.S. & Canda, perhaps even more severe than last Winter! Well our favorite almanac, the Old Farmer’s Almanac, which prints 2+ million copies a year has the low down and yes, they got last winter mostly right, and we were rushing to get out winter boots as fast as our sheep could grow wool. So whether your a Sascha, Katja, Katharina, Nikita, kinda girl or a plain old Igor kinda guy Zdar luxury designer winter boots will be providing warmth and comfort to all kind of folk this Winter.
Anyway heres the general winter weather summary.
For much of the U.S., the 2015-2016 Almanac says that a super cold winter is on tap—with below-average winter temperatures. Bundle up!
• Freezing temperatures will be especially pronounced along most of the Atlantic seaboard and in the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes, Pacific Northwest, and southwestern states.
• The Northeast, Ohio Valley, northern Plains, and Pacific Northwest should brace for a slew of snow.
• “Super cold is coming,” says Almanac editor Janice Stillman, but also the good news is that areas with record-shattering snow last winter—like Boston—won’t have to deal with quite so many flakes.”

Mean while in Canada The 2016 Old Farmer’s Almanac Canadian Edition predicts that many areas of the Commonwealth will feel much like the inside of an icebox—super cold and dry—with below-normal temperatures and snowfall.
The exception to this trend will be the Atlantic Maritimes, which will start out cold and snowy, then turn mild. We’re not expecting more snow than usual, but the temperatures outside will definitely be brisk throughout the season.
All in all, this coming winter will be a good one for snuggling up next to the fire with a good book and or winter walks in footwear by ZDAR boots.
